View Full Version : A very Bad Experience at Romankan Yokohama

I have a very bad experience tonite @romankan Yokohama . I was there for coffee at about 8 plus. I went to the 2 seater table near the escalator cos there was no other seats and we are 2 adults and my 3 yr old girl who also need a seat and my bb who is on a pram. After ordering, the table of six left and I requested myself to change to that table reason being the table of 2 was v near to the escalator which is quite dangerous for my child. The waitress rejected my request saying that they need to keep that table for bigger groups. The possibility of a big group coming in is pretty slim and even though there will be, looking at the rest of the tables which are all about to finish, there will be definitely be sufficient table even if bigger group is to come in at that time. Not only that, she also told me actually coffee should not be serve during that time, she is actually doing a favour(which in other words I should be grateful). I told her in that case there should be a signage stated that and she told me she will ask her manager to put that up in future. And about 5 mins to 10mins after she reject me of changing tables , a couple was seated at the 6 seater and there is actually a 4 seater available. If the bigger table is so important to them, they could have requested them to move to the smaller table which they did not. It was very obvious that we are being treated differently because we had only coffee. I am a repeated customer of this place even though just ordering coffee most of the time. The people who ate there may not even be regulars like me and just because I am just drinking coffee doesn't mean I should be treated differently. And my reason given, I am sure any other people who will show sympathy and change for me. Instead I was being challenge. I was very upset by the poor service and I will never go back there again.
